Capsuleer Declaration of Independence

When in the course of high-sec events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the associations which have connected them to another, and to assume the powers of New Eden, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of the Universe and of Bob entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of capsuleers requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to disassociate.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all capsuleers are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Mining, Missioning, and the Pursuit of a career in Hauling. That to secure these rights, corporations and alliances are instituted among Pilots, deriving their just powers from the consent of the taxed.  That whenever any form of tax or laws becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the Capsuleers to alter or abolish it, and to institute new forms of associations, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. The history of the Goons, Miniluv and CODE is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations. All having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over various regions of New Eden.  To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid galaxy.

• The enactment of taxation (permits) on Mining.
• The enactment of taxation (permits) on Missioning.
• The enactment of taxation (permits) on Hauling.
• The enactment of taxation (permits) on Travel.
• The hostile camping of high-sec gates and the sending of swarms of thugs to harass capsuleers and eat out their substance.
• For Trials by Blog and Bonus Rooms for pretended and fabricated offenses.
• For waging open war against Capsuleers.
• For plundering the high-sec trade lanes, ravaging the ore and ice belts, and destroying the lives of untold clones.
• For the hiring of mercenaries to compleat the works of death and extortion, desolation and tyranny, under circumstances of Cruelty and perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages.
• For turning our fellow Capsuleers into informants, to become executioners of their corp mates and Brethren.

We, therefore, the Miners, Missioners and Haulers of New Eden, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the Galaxy for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good Capsuleers of New Eden, solemnly publish and declare, that we are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent from 'permits'.  And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of the Welp God, we mutually pledge to each other our Clones, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
